DAY 1, Mon 3rd March
On the first day of the summit we'll be sharing presentations of suitable sports and activities to help satisfy the genius brains of our Border Collies.
DAY 2, Tue 4th March
Today we are sharing presentations on physical fitness and cognitive challenges for your Border Collie as well as looking at the human end of the lead.
DAY 3, Wed 5th March
On our final day we will be diving into pain and behaviour, voluntary handling, deaf dogs as well as the Border Collie Eye and Nip
MEET YOUR HOST - Sarah Hedderly
Specialist Border Collie Trainer
I’m a dog trainer and I specialise in working with owners of Border Collies, and their crosses.
I’m a Certified Control Unleashed Instructor, Real Dog Yoga instructor and Force Free Trick Trainer.
I know what it’s like to dream of having a dog you can take anywhere, enjoy walking and have an amazing bond with but getting the dog I needed instead of the dog I wanted. It is what has driven me to learn so much about this genius breed that I love and is what has driven me to only work with one breed of dog, the Border Collie.
My dogs have been my biggest teachers. Mini is a sensitive soul who needs her training broken down into the tiniest of steps. Ding is a child genius who needs clear direction and enough stimulation to keep his busy brain satisfied. They have both made me read, learn and find new ways. I've also added to my pack and and Beau is the most talented sports dog I've ever had, and then there is Sparkles who is keeping it real by throwing all the puppy and adolescent behaviours at me.
I'm always learning and upskilling so that I can help each of my very different Border Collies live their best life and champion their characteristics rather than complain about them!
The Details
When
The Border Collie Summit will run from 3rd-5th March 2025.
Presentations will be available each day at 9am.
Where
The event is entirely virtual so you'll be able to attend from anywhere in the world with internet access. You can even attend in your PJs.
Presentations
There will be 5 presentations each day and each will be around 20-30 minutes.
Community
You'll have access to a private Facebook group. You'll be able to connect with the speakers during the event.
